...like the Gothic games?

Both Games come from Germany and don't include the Germacn Speech?

Why? I mean if it was just an translation from English to German I would understand it but this game has German as it's native language.
I agree.

The best would be the possibility to download any translations that have been done.
Yeah that's strange :/
But a little hint if you're from/in Germany: This month the game is available in the magazine ComputerBild Spiele. If you want it in German, now is the chance! ;)
Is the original german voice acting particularly good? If it is, then I would rather play a subtitled version in German.

That magazine is approx. half the price of the game here on GoG, for anyone wondering.

At first the voice of the protagonist seems a bit annoying but after you get used to that to it it is very, very good /imho

And yes, I think GoG should talk to Deadalic and add the German sound files.
The reason I'm not buying this game is the lack of German voiceovers.
I played the German demo back then and it was great, then tried the English version which is simply atrocious.
would like to purchase this game but need German language in the game. this is a German production after all. i want to play it in its original language.
Same thing here.
Would buy it, but only with german translation.

Bought 4 other games that should get a translation but did not til now, so I will wait and see what happens.

Ditto. This is really quite stupid.

Yes, I can understand that for some games it may be difficult to acquire the rights for all language versions, because sometimes they are owned by different local publishers. (But even then GOG should make an effort, and as far as I can tell they NEVER do.)

But here it is just plain laziness: Everything is owned by Daedalic, so it would trivial to do.
I totally agree with you.
I was about to buy the game and then I saw, that it doesnt support german.
Please GOG add the german language files for this game. Then I will buy it immediately.

And about the publisher: GOG added the german language files for every other game from Daedalic, but why not for this one.

Edit:
I started a request for this feature. Maybe it will help.

Yes, I owned the german version, and I love Sadwick in it! English is very irrating.
I would buy this one if German language was added!
You can either get a fully English version or a fully German version. It is not possible to play with German voice-overs and English subtitles due to limitations in the game's engine. This has been confirmed by Daedalic themselves in their official forums.

Unless the game is remade from scratch, you're better off playing the English version, it's not like Sadwick's German VA is less annoying, he is supposed to be that way.

Well then again, if you want the game fully German, you have a point. There should be a voice pack released.

I own the original German 1.print of the game and I wonder if it's possible to Replace the necessary language files of the Gog version with them so I can play the DRM-free version in german. (The first print copy protection is annyoing as hell)
