I played TWW a couple years ago and got about halfway through Chapter 2 before I stopped playing for various reasons unrelated to the game. I've decided now to go through my GOG library and finish off some games I either haven't played or haven't finished and I'm on TWW now.

I see that the game has updated to a Special Edition which is neat. I see there is some developer commentary which is always fairly interesting (even if it is in German!), but I am now encountering a problem that I never did when I played the non-SE version. The voice acting lines will clip into the next line. Or rather, the current voice clip is ended prematurely when the next one starts. Usually, this happens right at the end of the last word of the current clip, so I'm not missing any audio, but the next clip starts far too soon and makes the dialog really difficult to listen to. It's more irritating than anything and considering how heavy this game is on story and dialog that's a big problem.

Does anyone else have this issue and if so, do you know any way to fix it?

Thanks.

I have this issue, but no answers. I wrote to Daedalic regarding it and they weren't particularly helpful. The answer was along the lines of "it is what it is".
I seem to remember the problem not being there if I changed the language, suggesting that it's not a software issue but perhaps a timing issue in the language files. I suggest you try writing to them, maybe if they get another report they'll actually try and fix it. Strange because the game has been updated since I contacted them and various bugs of this type were fixed, but not this specific one.

That's unfortunate. I too have this problem. Wish I could have seen this post before buying the game. Wondering if I can get a refund on account of this issue. Will certainly avoid Daedalic games from now on, if this is how they address their customer's issues.

Annoyingly, the problem wasn't present before the Special Edition upgrade.
