ansg8: Hello?

What planet are we living on? This game company just up and decides it's time to release it's game DRM free before it's sequels release. Why should I support them now?
Today The Surge 2 and its DLCs got released here on GOG, which is only a few months after the Steam release. Things are definitely improving und your critique is becoming pointless now.

Apparently enough people supported the first game, once it became drm free here on gog, that the devloper/publisher decided to release the second game here with a considerablly shorter delay frrom launch to release that it took for the first game to show up here.

So yes, we should be supporting it here because it gets us new games faster.

It's also worth noting though that focus home interactive (the publisher of the game) prior to the surge 2, kind of mass released many new games after a few months from their steam release as well, meaning that they are going to trust GOG more than before.

I'm more than fine with a later release, but I'd just like for it to be confirmed beforehand instead of knowing nothing about it until it gets released out of the blue, so that I can decide where to get the game. Thankfully for the surge 2 I decided to wait for a possible GOG release (after seeing the first one release here), which I've instant bought as soon it became available.
