This game is a wonderful re-write of the classic Settlers II: Gold Edition with adorable cartoon 3D graphics. However, at some point you may notice the jagged diagonal lines on the 3D models and wish they were even better.

In case you didn't already know, your graphics card may support changing antialiasing settings for selected programs. For example, the 970M Nvidia Control Panel (advanced settings) allows to change this game's antialiasing settings from off to on, independent of the general PC settings. The panel also allows the option for antialiasing multiples. Choosing antialiasing x8 makes the graphics look very nice indeed.

In the comparison you can easily spot the difference if you look at the boat, the swordfish on the fishery, the axe, the flags etc.

Does anyone know other settings that can be tweaked?

Be happy and game on!

haha only 8x? why not 32x csaa

you could also tweak aniso to 16x and texture filtering quality to high.

Don't see a great deal of difference in those screenshots tbh. Obviously it's nice to be able to use AA and other graphics improvements, but there isn't a big difference to my eyes at least. Okay, you can see it fairly clearly in the columns in the upper left-ish corner, but would stuff like this be "obvious" when playing the game? I like watching the guys walking around too much to notice I think :D
Screenshots aren't always sufficient to showcase the improvements, jaggies are much more annyoing when in motion. Depending on the scene it might still be subtle.
