Hello,

After a bit of investigation and looking at the assembly I patched my German version of the game so it does not crash anymore when donkeys or ships are used for trading.
I have confirmed this with savegames that reproductably lead to the faulty behavior before the fix and work perfectly fine after applying my patch.

Question for you guys is, do you want me to patch the English version of the game for you?
If so, I need an English S4_Main.exe in the latest version (1516a).

The Settlers 4 is multilingual (exept audio and video files) so there is no extra exe for the english version.

Interesting, I have seen config entries for language before but I did notice the language being changed for some but not all entries in the main menu when I was using an executable of an English version for testing purposes.

The executable is always the same, if the version is exactly the same (e.g. 2.50.1516a). The differences in the menu etc come e.g. from different registry entries based on what different S4 addons are installed.

So if you want to post your fix, just post what hex entries at what addresses in the exe need to be changed.

Hey Instant Muffin, I've picked up the game after not playing it for almost two years and I'm having a blast with the singleplayer content at the moment.

Of course trying to make sensible use out of the marketplaces to distribute gold bars is causing consistent crashing.

I'm interested to know how this fix is coming along? The game is installed in English if that makes a differnece.
