Does anyone know a solution?
Try to uninstall it, test if it runs without it, and then install the new version 1.8

Yes, without Widescreen_Fix it is working properly.
Widescreen_Fix 1.8 also crashes the game.
Only white small window in the left top corner and then black screen for seconds.
A log file with Widescreen_Fix 1.8 installed:
- .\Device\GraphicDevice.cpp 2402 : Invalid call
- .\Device\GraphicDevice.cpp 2452 : Invalid call
- Adaptercount : 0
- .\Device\GraphicDevice.cpp 2614 : Invalid call
- Displaymode: 0 x 1 Format : 0x0a8c0780 RefreshRate : 0

And a log file without Widescreen patch:
- Adaptercount : 1
- Adapter #0 'NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST'
- Name : \\.\DISPLAY1
- Driver : nvd3dum.dll
- VendorID : 10de
- DeviceID : 11c2

Hi creator of Widescreen Fix here.

From what I can see, your GPU is too old for the Vulkan translation, please set "ForceNativeDX" to "on" (without quotes) in the d3d9.ini.

How hold does a GPU have to be to not manage that? Cause I've got a WX 3100 spinning in here, and it even supports Vulkan.

Sorry for late reply, but I did not get any notification.

Anything older than GTX 9xx (Maxwell from 2015) does not suport Vulkan 1.3. (only exception is 750ti which is also Maxwell)

Your WX 3100 is from 2017, the GTX 650 ti is from 2012, so that is 5 years difference.
