Resolution and other video settings are still not saving if a non-English version of the game is launched via GOG Galaxy.

According to changelog this issue was fixed more than a year ago but I guess that only for non-Galaxy version.

Should I install this fix for GOG Galaxy version manually?

Temporarily you can fix it manually, move the settings from the English folder to the Russian folder.
Details in your report.

I couldn't even imagine that adding an already existing fix into a game cache might take more than a month.

OMG, I'm having the same issue on Windows 10! A year ago I was playing this game perfectly fine in 4K, but now the resolution is stuck at 800x600 and I've tried every possible way to fix this, but it's not working. The game is unplayable at that resolution for me. So frustrating!

GOG, PLEASE FIX THIS.

Yap, the game is pretty unplayable at 800 by 600. Luckily https://www.gog.com/forum/the_saboteur/games_still_not_changing_resolution_after_patch did the trick for me - manually changing a config.ini file to change resolution.
Seems like something you should be able to do via gog - hiding the process in a GUI via GOG Galaxy seems like a couple days' work, nothing more.
The only problem is finding the people that fix doesn't work for.

YES, it worked. Thank you. I have a 144Hz monitor and the game resets the resolution to 800x600 if you select that frequency, so the only thing I had to do was change it to 60Hz. :)

Reading the reviews to this game on GOG, it seems there's an easier way. Go to the game's folder, press the VideoSetup program, and you'll get a lot more video options.

Or you can go to the game's GOG Galaxy page, press "More -> Other -> Video Settings", which launches the same program.

That's what I did. The VideoSetup program lets you select resolution and frequency. The game only works in 60Hz mode.
This topic is NOT about frequency bug. It's about missing video settings fix for non-English versions of game.
It still broken! In non english versions resolution 800x600 only!

I decided to check all languages and it seems that the problem is with hotfix (because it's already applied), not with Galaxy game cache.

The thing is that Russian version of game for some reason uses a separate folder for saves and configuration files (Documents\Мои игры\The Saboteur\). But video setup utility still uses configuration file from original folder (Documents\My Games\The Saboteur\).

All other non-English versions of game work correctly.

Is it possible to edit/redirect this ticket?

Hi,

I don't see a way to edit the original description but you can add a note to the ticket :)
