I´ve just bought The Saboteur during EA games sale in GOG. And so far I though the game has a good story, interesting characters good gameplay and a nice open world. Sure people will probably get a first impression that "Its another generic Open-World GTA wanna be clone" but for me this one was able to excel my expcetations so far. There is a lot of stuff to do in the free-roam world such as sidequests, perks and other stuff.

I was just wondering how come I´ve never heard about it or saw a store selling it back in the day, when it was first released in 2009? I´m just wondering about the reasons behind why this game is not so popular. I´m a big fan of the open-world genre and so far I though this game deserved a much better recognition than games such as COD in which they make minor changes in the game engine and skins and release a new version to profit every year, from COD fanboys. We are living in a age in which the gaming industry is basically stagnated. Most game developers now a days dont wanna take any risks at all. They all just rather follow the same patterns that are working for other developers to make profit instead of them trying to take big risks by trying new kinds of games and genres. For me the developers of Saboteur took a big risk into trying to portrait a story about an Irish outsider who attempted to help the France resistance to start a revolution in a WW2 occupied Paris by the Germans.

Such a shame Pandemic got shut down i think this game deserved a sequel! Why this game didnt went viral back in the day?
