I've been playing this game for about 6 hours, and so far it's been quite interesting. That said, I'm starting to feel like I'm assembling a jigsaw puzzle with too many pieces missing. I realize that it's a custom not to spoil anything about the game, but I would greatly appreciate hints on any of the following:

1. Gasoline. No idea where to look.

2. How to kill green and red slimes. They're immune to my revolver, and dynamite is too expensive to just throw everywhere.

3. Ghosts. Right now I can't progress any further in in the Castle because I can't find any more ghosts. I've already helped out the one who needed warmth, the one who needed sleep, and the one who was hungry, so I've opened up their wings, but I haven't found any others.

4. Children. I see the specters, but I don't really know what to do about them? None of the kids will really talk to me. Is this important?

5. Families. I notice every family in Strange has some kind of issue. I got one guy a boombox, so that's good, but I don't know how or if I'm supposed to help any of the others.

6. There's a couple locked areas in the Bandit Hideout I can't get into. What are those about?

7. Buckets. I've seen wells around, but no buckets. Where can I find one?

8. Can I get a bigger inventory?

9. Does the wedding ring do anything?

10. Does the wicca talisman do anything?

11. Any possibly irreparable mistakes I should know about?

12. Does what you're wearing really matter?

13. What's the deal with Rifle Rock?

14. I ran out of keys in the mine, and there are still locked doors to get past. Now what?

15. Can you do anything with the Big Bad Wolf?

EDIT: I have beaten the game since I posted this, but I'll post my findings here for the benefit of others.

EDIT UPDATE: Never mind 2. The answer is in Fort Worth.
EDIT UPDATE II: Never mind 7. Buckets aren't the problem - rope is. Rope can be found in reality, and eventually the shop starts selling it..
EDIT UPDATE III: Working on 5. Finding the boombox and the files seems to have solved two family problems. Using the wedding ring fixed a third. The fourth one seems to be developing on its own.
EDIT UPDATE IV: I found a guide to clothing that explained what the ring does. It took several tries, but eventually I got it to work. One important sidenote - you can't dig under rocks in dreams, so you have to find the same spot in reality.
EDIT UPDATE V: One of the locked areas in the bandit hideout opens with a key I found in a well. The other one opens with a weapon you get by following the plot.
EDIT UPDATE VI: Shoeboxes get you a bigger inventory, apparently. There's two in the mine.
EDIT UPDATE VII: The mine is arranged in such a way as to always leave you at least one more key than you need, I think. I ran out, but after combing over the areas I had unlocked with the keys I used, I found another.
EDIT UPDATE VIII: For gasoline, follow the plot.
EDIT UPDATE IX: For specters, follow the plot.
X: For the rifle, follow the plot.
XI: The wicca talisman does nothing.
XII: There is a point at which you can no longer go to the Interstate, so if there's anything you want to do there make sure you do it before you visit the dungeon under Forth Worth for the second time.
XIII: I think most of the time your clothes are irrelevant. One outfit lets you get the rifle, and there's a hat that protects you from bats, but mostly they're cosmetic.

I'm still working my way through the game, but:

2. The wand kills wet things.
8. Shoe boxes will allow you to carry more items.
12. Accessories (not just the beaver tuxedo hat and the other important outfit) offer additional protections. The wiccan amulet, vest, and wrestling belt each offer a bit of special protection. See the in game book on clothing.
