on windows 7 that world editor repeatedly shows up in start menu/recently started programs. until now i NEVER started that so what's the point of that? and how can i prevent world editor from doing that?

I have no idea why it does that, sorry. It must be something with GOG's installer for the game. Maybe you can try asking them?
