I wanted to pick up Cold Steel 3 since it's on sale, but when it's in my cart GOG says "you are required to own The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV on GOG.com to be able to purchase and play The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III". Why the heck is it required to have the SEQUEL to play a prior game in the series? Of course, I want to buy CS IV as well in the future, but it's not discounted right now and in order to just play CS3 now I'd have to spend almost 100 euros? The hell?

Seems weird... It might be related that currently they have a Summer sale promotion that includes Cold Steel 3 + a consumable set dlc . Wait for the deal to expire in 2 days and try again with the regular Edition.. If that still doesnt work contact support and see what happens.

According to GOG it should be 2 days from the start of the summer sale.
Also if you want you can send a message to this moderator and let him know about the problem if support takes a long time to respond
