It works fine, you should remove the english audio files before you copy over the jap. ones though otherwise the characters start to speak english at the additionally voiced parts because those weren't voiced in the jap. console verison (and becasue of that there are no jap. audio files for that lines of course).

Doesn't the game crash if you don't have the files present?

No, it doesn't.
The game doesn't check if the file actually exists and only returns "empty data" to the RAM which means it doesn't play any voice.

Nice!

Thanks for the info.
hmm, are the english dubs that bad, so it should be replaced by the japanese dubs (although as JinKazaragi said that there are more English Audio Dubs which the original version lacks), or is it just a thing of staying "true" to the original and if someone never heard the japanese dubs he will be okay with the english dubs?
The English dub's actually quite good. It's on the same quality level as the Japanese one. Some characters are slightly better in English, other slightly better in Japanese. It balances out. If you don't hold the opinion that anime-style games are to be indiscriminately played with Japanese voice on principle, regardless of the dub quality, you might as well play with the dub, which has the added benefit of not having characters going mute at random times in voiced cutscenes. (this was a jarring issue in both the Japanese and English console versions that the English dub fixed with the PC port)

The link and the download work, both on my desktop and my laptop, so I'm afraid the problem is on your end.

Lies. The new Megaupload now demands that you install some shit to download files over 1GB. What ever happened to plain http and torrents?

I downloaded it today, via my browser(Firefox), and the "free" limit on Mega is 2 GB, unless they changed this in the last few hours.
Can confirm that the link does work without additional software. The site presents you with a choice of whether you want to get some downloader or just use your browser.
