I just saw that The Last Federation has now a new expansion dlc on sale on Steam called Beyond Hope. I know that it says there that its in beta but looking at Arcen games site its basically only three ships that aren't quite done yet. As usual Arcen games betas mean that the game is finished and only a few small things might not be done.

So I was wondering if anyone from gog can comment on this dlc coming here?

I looking forward for this dlc\addon too. Do we have estimation of some sort?

For now, my main question is, will the Betrayed Hope beta, when purchased from Arcen Games directly, work with the GOG version of The Last Federation?

My guess is yes, as BH simply adds a few non-exe files to TLF (which I deduce from the fact that the Arcen patch files for TLF and TLF+BH are the same). Can anyone confirm my guess?

For some strange reason I am unable to install the DLC. Just towards the end of the installation process I get a pop up telling me that "the installation failed". Has anybody else encountered a similar problem and if, how did they solve it?

I am getting the exact same thing on OSX 10.10.1

I have contacted support to see what they say.

I have been playing email ping pong with support for quite a while now, still no solution. Perhaps the file is simply faulty? Which can always happen. But if you do manage to get it to work, please let me and others know. I inadvertently deleted my saved games whilst trying to get it to run, darn it!

Good news everyone! There was a problem with the original dmg file, just re-download the new updated file (the_last_federation_2.0.0.7.dmg), then the dlc and you are good to go!
