The cursor in the game moves faster on the x-axis, left and right, than the y-axis, up and down. This is really annoying....

I tried editing the dosbox conf file, but can't fix it by changing the screen resolution. Any help is greatly appreciated.

*edit: running in windowed doesn't help.

I'm also having this exact same problem. I'm unsure what else to try to fix it.
Windowed mode gets rid of the problem for me but I wish I could play the game fullscreen without these mouse problems.

I'm having this exact same problem. I don't think I want to play it until this issue is fixed.

And its strange cus this is one problem I've never had with any other game I've ever played.
Same problem here. I haven't even started the game yet because I think it might be very annoying.

Yeah, you are right actually. I just went ahead and started playing, and I've pretty much forgotten about it.

I need more games with the same problem in order to be sure what the problem is and if it is really problem or just how the game works.

I had the same problem with the original version back in the day (with hardware of the time) so it may not be fixable.. It made catching the beetle very difficult (had to anticipate the height and move left - right to match).
maybe this will help..

I've also had this problem, to the point where I don't even want to play the game if it's like this. If I'm getting this frustrated on the very first screen, I don't think I can go through with the rest of it. :)

I've tried both of those programs out and fiddled with them. MOUSEX seems to do absolutely nothing, while MOUSE2KV changes things but not perfectly. No matter what resolution I set, there always seems to be this dead space on the right and bottom of the screen, like the mouse area is bigger than the actual screen. I don't know what that's about, but it seems like something I can fix if I knew how.

Here's the line I'm using in dosboxTLE.conf:
mouse2kv 640 480 1.5 1 express.exe
How many of you who have this problem have a widescreen display?

I do, I have a laptop with a 1366x768 resolution. I thought that may have been an issue, but I don't know why it would only affect this game (or potentially dosbox).
