Bought the game today and already found 2 bugs:

#1 bug: Entered the wagon before added the mice. Added the mice inside the wagon => no animation, no menu, no objects, completely frozen

#2 bug: Entered the cable car, not all of the 3 states were ok, tried to exit the car by clicking on the top right corner ingame "X" and then on "back" => game transition and the game abort (on cmdline: support/gog_com.shlib: Line 94: 3458 Aborted ./"${bin_64}")
I have the same problem, which persists later on in the game and breaks it. At the cable car you can bypass the bug by loading again, but at the jail cell later on I could not bypass the bug in any way, so I am stuck there.

Again: support/gog_com.shlib: line 94: 23416 Aborted ./"${bin_64}" is the message.

I will be asking for a refund soon if this bug is not fixed.
Same problem here (cable car crash), except loading again doesn't help; I get the crash every time. Have to start from scratch again. And since the game automatically saves every time I move and there's no way to save / copy to a different slot it's impossible to avoid this kind of bug; you have to start all over again every time. VERY frustrating. :(
It turned out that even starting from scratch doesn't help; it crashes all the time for me at the cable car, even if I do everything right on first try (and have all items with me). Does anybody have a savegame from right after the cable car that I could use to continue playing?
Because of this persistent bug in the Linux version, I decided to test out the windows version under wine, because i really do want to play this game!
It works fine with playonlinux, but you might run into some other bugs if you go this route. My system version for wine didn't work out so well, so I used version 1.7.26, which is the version listed for the first Inner World game on WineHQ. With the default system version, there was a resolution problem, although I wonder if it had something to do with the dual panel display that I disconnected after the first test run -- might be a good idea to turn off dual display altogether when running this game!
With 1.7.26, the resolution issue seemed to have worked itself out, but the opening video that shows after you start a new game won't show -- It'll only show a white screen, but the subtitles and audio are still working. You can just skip past the opening video. After that, the game works fine, aside from some unusual audio issues that spring up, although I'm sure this has more to do with my system -- I'm running this game on a VERY OLD LAPTOP! Even so, I just exit out of the game, restart the program and the audio corrects itself. Other than all this, I've been able to get past the cable car area with ease.
Hopes this helps, until they get around to patching the Linux version -- which they really should get around to doing, because I'd much rather have a fully working game!

So, even now, several years after your report the linux version still crashes at exactly same spot. with the same error :-(

Yeah, I gave up long time ago and played it in a Windows VM.

The lacking support from GOG and/or Studio Fizbin is sad.
I don't really know who to blame, but the missing support/contact possibility on the game's website and this post on Steam https://steamcommunity.com/app/251430/discussions/0/540734791939650035/ tells a lot.

Especially when you consider, that even on the developer's website, the game is distributed through Humble Bundle's online shop, the developer should be more active on the distributing channels, they are using.

I got the same problem now, even after using the cable car's correct settings, the game just exits right after a small cutscene.
Note: This bug occurs on Debian 11 (bullseye), BUT it does work on Ubuntu 20.04 (focal)
So it's probably an old lib that debian uses?

Three more years later: still no solution. :(

I am just about to do the same. Did you manage to use your saved game or did you have to start all over again?

Just cause you asked (and cause I couldn't remember what I did three years ago) I decided to dig in:

Turns out, you can copy over your save game file from the Linux version. Both versions save your game as a .tiw2 file. The file will be saved something like "saveFile-1.tiw2."

The Linux save file is located in: ~/.config/unity3d/Studio Fizbin/The Last Wind Monk/TheInnerWorld2/savegames

The Windows version is saved in: drive_C/users/HOME FOLDER/AppData/LocalLow/Studio Fizbin/The Last Wind Monk/TheInnerWorld2/savegames

I am replaying the game again, this time on a newer computer, using the Heroic Games Launcher. Seems to work FAR BETTER than the Linux version! I'd say it's performance is PERFECT (Intro video is not choppy like it is in the Linux Version), but I just installed the game. These are my first impressions. (I'm using Wine Default 7.10, FYI)

UPDATE: I got to the point in the Linux version, where I get in the cable car, zoom in on the control panel and attempted to zoom out. Game crashed, but the save file was not corrupted. Transferred it over to the Wine version and the last save was right where I had it zoomed in, on the cable car control panel. Can confirm that I was able to continue playing the game!
