First attempt at playing and I am playing an alchemist. I sent my cart with goods to market and the goods were sold. But even when I select my cart, there is no option to tell it to return to my shop, so it's just sitting there (for three turns!).
My apprentices are responsible for collecting raw materials, my cart will not go back to my shop to retrieve more finished goods, and ...

I've read and re-read the manual (searching for "cart") and can find nothing. The closest I got was that clicking on my shop allows for the "Transport" option... unfortunately, I cannot transport anything unless there is a cart at my shoppe, and my empty cart is just sitting at the market place.

I tried the tutorial a second time, but it skipped over about 40% of the stuff I learnt the first time and went into a more advanced tutorial which just built on the basics which I haven't comprehended yet.
(It also touched upon politics which the first tutorial skipped.)

Suggestions?

PS: The first tutorial told of a way to see my carts/employees and said that it was a 'critical' window, but I have no idea what process I need to use to get there or even if that is what I should be trying to acheive. (Even though I selected the appropriate tutorial the second time, it just skipped that section.)

Edit: Apparently clicking on a tutorial de-selects it rather than selects it. Still haven't found a way for my cart to go back to my shop... unless I buy something unnecessary<?> to ship back?

Hello,
If it is anything like the Guild 2 then you can after selecting the cart right click right next to your shop. If it is close enough it will be considered to be back at the shop when it stops moving.

This game has a weird interface in which right clicking de-selects/ESC's while holding down the right mouse button displays info; so unless the second version of this game has similar controls I don't think your suggestion will work.

Note... I've already deleted this game from my system.

Query:
imho, there are several series of strategy games which are based upon European history rather than the values of a certain nameless (Not true! It's called lots of names.) superpower. These games all had enormous potential, but because European's were buying them (out of spite?), the profits from glitchy garbage didn't necessitate making the games playable.
I've noticed that The Guild 2 also has people complaining about all the bugs/glitches, but that there are so many people complaining that it might actually be playable enough!??
If The Guild were actually playable, I think it would become one of my all-time favourite games; and perhaps The Guild 2 could become so as well.
So that's my question... frustration vs playability... is The Guild 2 worth the effort?

No, no it is not worth your time. I am also fascinated by games of this type and the guild 2 has a lot of stuff but a lot of very broken stuff. It is very difficult to run more than one character at a time due to a very poor AI.
