I've completed the game, saved all the outposts and... never did figure out how to access the locked door that requires a four-digit code, it's frustrating.

The captain's room and the first crew room had pieces of paper in them, one with "5" on it and other with "7", once I got Kim onboard the second crew room was finally accessible but I didn't find any pieces of paper in there. I don't know how you're supposed to access the third crew room because even if i had gotten Prod onboard he'd be in Kim's room in my playthrough since each crew room holds two.

The really irritating part is that I still don't know the code to that storage/code-locked room on the ship and it's driving my OCD up the wall so please feel free to spoil parts of the game for me, I already completed the game. Just wanna know the code to that room at the very least

I've just started playing this game and I already have three numbers: 5, 5 and 7.

First one was in the cabinet in the lab, second in my room, third was in first crew room.

Oh, nice! I completely missed the one in the lab. Still, even with three numbers it's not easy to guess the 4th number, already tried a few combinations with no luck

Two things I've noted.

Some of these papers have quite similar edges - maybe this could be a hint to get them in the right order.

I do not know if this is random or not (this is my first game) but "557" was the code to get back the droid head from dispenser on the big space station where I rescued the two scientists by creating wormhole and calling for help.

I see you've mentioned Prod and I'm already after that adventure: was there any way to rescue both crew members? Just say "yes" or "no" if you know. I tried to do "the task" by myself but after "so many" tries with different options I decided to let Prod do it in the end. I suspected how this will look like and I was right.

EDIT: I've just found the fourth piece of paper - it was in one of crawling spaces on the ship. :)

Aye, you can save both Umix and Prod! Also good job, gonna check those ship vents myself again as I'm not as good at noticing small details like that

EDIT: Got into the room finally! Matching up the torn paper pieces helped

Thanks for the answer - from my point of view it sounds impossible, I really tried everything, lol. :D

You can, but definitely not in the same play through. Unless all the people whining about it made the dev change his mind (but I doubt it, and I hope not).

Oh, are you sure? It seems for me that Droggarth's answer suggests this possibility.

It was definitely the case on release that it was impossible to save both Umix and Prod in the same play through (and remained so for a number of patches afterward). I havn't heard that this was changed, so unless someone proves otherwise, I'm going to assume it's still impossible.

That and I'm pretty sure they get assigned the same bunk...
5675 or something
How can i get into the crawling ares for the 4th paper?
