I have an XBOX gamepad connected to my computer, which I don't use while playing shooting games, because I'm not an idiot, and if I wanted to do that rather than having the smooth motion of a mouse then I'd just play them on a console with one hand while using my other hand to smash myself in the face with a hammer like the moron that I'd need to be.

However, I use the gamepad for other types of games on my PC, for which it works pretty well.

Anyway, when I play this game, every time there's a gunshot or explosion, the gamepad vibrates very harshly and makes a loud noise. I'd rather not have it forcibly molesting the desk that it's sitting on every time I play, so how can I disable the gamepad or at least the vibration?
