Nowhere is this mentioned. And I have no idea why a game that is all of 4.2GB needs 9GB on your boot drive to install a "patch". Nor why GOG can't be arsed to patch the game themselves so we don't have to.

But it took me all freakin' day to figure out what as going wrong with my latest install of BoUT 2 because it would just tell me it ran out of space - on a drive that had 50GB free.

I had to move files around to get about 12GB or so free space on the C drive before it would install, despite the fact that I wasn't even installing it on that drive and had plenty of space elsewhere. It also didn't tell me WHERE space was lacking and by the time you get the error, its too late to see where the space got eaten up because the installer has already cleaned up after itself.

Just in case anybody else is going through conniptions trying to figure out why your game keeps choking on the patch, check the available space on your BOOT drive, not just the installation drive. For those of us with older, smaller SSDs with the OS installed there, this is a big deal. Heck, its a problem for anybody with a smaller boot drive partition.

Yes. You're going to need 9 GB ADDITIONAL free space to install this game and its patch, on top of the 13GB of free space needed on the install drive. Yup. You need 22GB total free space to install a 4.2 GB game.
