Hello,

Running "start.sh" on the command line, I can see that the program wants to connect to a web page that is not available any more:

There is no difference whether I choose to install the announces update or if I ignore it and click "not now". The game won't start.

What can I do apart from calling GoG for a refund? I would like to play the game, but if it doesn't run, I'd like to get my money back as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance for any help!
Hello again!

After a year has past and after two new versions of Linux and this game being on sale, I thought I might give it a second chance.

The error stays the same, if you start the game using the start script or the start button in the desktop menu. This time I had some help and we discovered the solution:

Go to the directory into which you installed the game, and call the game binary directly:

cd $WHEREVER/GOG Games/The Book of Unwritten Tales 2/game/Linux/
./BouT2.x86_64

Or call the 32 bit binary, if your system is still a 32 bit one.

That's it! Enjoy!
