The Deluxe Edition bonus items are not working for me it seems.

The "Bardic Brian"-skin is available, but the other items are in the Guild, but I can't interact with them.

The axe is on the wall, Brians booty chest is there, but I can't interact with them.

Does anyone else have that problem?

You have to be in-game, either by staring a new game or loading one, and then going into the Options/Gameplay menu to enter the bonus item code in the "redeem code" option.

This is not possible from the main menu (where I was looking).

Did you unlock them in the Options/Gameplay menu? The Redeem Code option should be there. If you've done it, you'll see a ":)" (no quotes) in the space.

Sorry, you are correct!

I was looking in the main-menu for this option, and not in the in-game menu.

Ichwillnichtmehr: There is no such an option in the director's cut.
Same issue here, no deluxe edition items available, even though deluxe edition bonus is checked in the installation tab of the management section on the game launcher

You have to load a game/start a new game first and then redeem the code in the Options/Gameplay menu!

Sorry, you are correct!

I was looking in the main-menu for this option, and not in the in-game menu.

The option to redeem/activate the items can only be done in-game, but is unavailable from the main-menu, where I have been looking.

I upgraded to Deluxe after redeeming my code, and now I can't seem to access the Red Boots or Axe, is this a bug?

They changed how the bonus items work.

Now you get a redeem code in your extras, either the "Firehorn Bonus Card.pdf" for the Standard Edition, or the "Card_FourRewards_Bard.pdf" for the Deluxe Edition, which you have to redeem in-game.

Even though I have the Deluxe Edition, I only have the Standard Edition item (Only the Horn), so I contacted support to get the correct code.

If this is the case with you, I suggest you contact support.

Yesterday I installed the director's cut and Deluxe Edition Bonus goodies DLC using GOG Galaxy (I removed Standard DLC and Fire Horn DLC!).

I downloaded the Deluxe Edition Bonus content using lgogdownloader and used the code inside the PDF, which is inside the_bards_tale_iv_directors_cut/dlc/the_bards_tale_iv_directors_cut_deluxe_edition_bonus/extras/the_bards_tale _iv_barrows_deep_extras_instruction.zip

Before entering the code, I could see the items in the guild, but not take them.

When entering the redeem code, it was acknowledged with a smiley.

I did not enter any other redeem code (e.g. the one from the standard edition), maybe entering this code leads to the problem of only getting the fire horn that some people report?

So all is well for me.

BUT:
Today I checked with lgogdownloader and in the GOG webpage download library:
extras/the_bards_tale_iv_barrows_deep_extras_instruction.zip
and
setup_the_bards_tale_iv_directors_cut_-_deluxe_edition_bonus_1.0.0_(64bit)_(31964).exe
are both gone!

No problem for me since I still have a copy, but other people may run into problems here.

Edit: dlc/the_bards_tale_iv_directors_cut_deluxe_edition_bonus/extras/the_bards_tale_iv_barrows_deep_extras_instruct ion.zip is back, but the DLC installer is still missing.
I haven't verified if it still is needed or of the redeem code is sufficient to have the bonus items.

Thank you Ichwillnichtmehr, the four rewards pdf is there now, I could have sworn it wasn't there yesterday though.

I used two codes to get the items--one for the Firehorn, and another for everything else. It took me a minute since it had been a long while since I entered these in...;) But I got everything with the Deluxe Edition DC.

This code for the four items does not work for me. I enter it and no smiley face, just does nothing. I cannot access the Axe and I dont see the chest of bardic stuff in the Guild.
