Just installed the game on Windows 11 and couldn't get it running smoothly (horrible lag) and at the right screen resolution.

So here is how I resolved the issue (using 1920x1080 resolution)

-Close the game
-Click on start button
-Type Regedit
-navigate to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\inXile Entertainment\The Bard's Tale
-Delete to ScreenHeight and ScreenWidth REG_SZ keys by right clicking the option Delete
-Right click an empty space select New
-Select DWORD (32-bit) value
-Type ScreenHeight as the name
-Enter to confirm
-Right click and select modify
-In the Section Base select Decimal
-In the Value Data type 1080 (modify to fit your resolution)
-click OK
-Right click an empty space select New
-Select DWORD (32-bit) value
-Type ScreenWidth as the name
-Enter to confirm
-Right click and select modify
-In the Section Base select Decimal
-In the Value Data type 1920 (modify to fit your resolution)
-click OK
-close Regedit and launch the game
