Hello everyone

If you're having technical troubles, here's a thread to help you.

Please make sure you fulfill the minimum requirements before going further

OS: Windows 10 64 bits
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs) or AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs) @ 2.5GHz
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 960 or AMD R9 280
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 40 GB available space

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
GENERAL ISSUES

If you experience any problem, please first verify

1. Your graphic cards drivers are up-to-date
2. You have enough space available on disk as we procedurally generate all the districts on disk when loading a new game or a save slot or even when generating your changes from the Drawing Board. On the disk where the game is installed AND where the operating system is installed, a 4 Go space available should do it but it will increase as we add districts available every month.
3.Your operating system does not have any pending updates.
4. The Integrity of the game files (check the attached "folen" image below)
5. Running in administrator mode at startup might help
- Select the game and click the customisation button(it should be located next to Play)
- Select: Manage Installation -> Show folder.
- Right click on the The Architect Paris.exe application > Properties.
- Click the Compatibility tab.
- Check Run this program as an administrator and click OK.
6. Your antivirus does not interfere with the game. Try to totally disable or uninstall it before running the game again.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

LAUNCH / SAVES / LOAD GAME

If you're stuck in the credits, ie any action after "press any button" launches the credits or an unexpected screen, unfortunately you might have a corrupted file saved and you will need to erase them.
To ensure this, erase everything in those folders (you can copy-paste those path directly in your file explorer address bar):

- %userprofile%\Documents\Enodo Games\The Architect Paris\Saves
- %userprofile%\appdata\locallow\Enodo Games\The Architect Paris

If you can’t launch any new game after a failed/crashed loading or save, unfortunately you might have a corrupted file saved and you will need to erase them.
To ensure this, erase everything in those folders (you can copy-paste those path directly in your file explorer address bar):

- %userprofile%\Documents\Enodo Games\The Architect Paris\Saves
- %userprofile%\appdata\locallow\Enodo Games\The Architect Paris

If you experience any problem while saving or loading, check if your SSD is in good health (a possible tool to ensure this is SSDLife).

If your machine restarts unexpectedly or a blue screen appears while doing nothing in-game, check with a benchmark that it does not come from a bad management of an heavy load of your system. A possible tool to ensure this is OCCT.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

GAME CRASHED THEN IMPOSSIBLE TO LAUNCH

If the game crashed once and then every-time you launch it nothing happens or you can only see the Windows Close and Minimize buttons and after a moment the game crashes.

Make sure that this folder is empty (you can copy-paste this path directly in your file explorer address bar):
%userprofile%\appdata\locallow\Enodo Games\The Architect Paris

If you know what you're doing:
Open a command line in the directory of the executable and launch it with those arguments:
"The Architect Paris.exe" -screen-width 1280 -screen-height 720

If you DON'T really know what you're doing:
- Find "The Architect Paris.exe" on your computer and right-click on it
- Select "Create a shortcut".
- A new file has been created, right-click on it
- Select Properties
- In the target box, add to the existing path the following text: -screen-width 1280 -screen-height 720
- Click Ok
- Double-click on this shortcut

In both cases:
- Observe that GoG will give you an alert that the game is trying to launch with different arguments, click Ok
- The game should run normally now and you can now use the "usual" way to launch the game via the GoG's client

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

BLACK SCREEN & BLUE SCREEN

If you experience a totally black screen while in-game, check that any interfering software is not launched automatically. An interfering software can be many things from capture/streaming software or overlays as FPS display, etc. A possible tool to ensure this is provided by Microsoft (autoruns).

If restart unexpectedly or blue screen while doing nothing, check with your RAM following these steps:
In your windows start menu type "Windows Memory Diagnostic" and proceed with the whole process (need a restart)
Once restarted, wait for the result message in your notification center. This may take a few moments to appear as the system starts up. Be patient. It will show up, but keep an eye out for it, as it can disappear quickly.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

If nothing worked, in last resort, you can send us an email at support@enodo.games with the exact steps to reproduce your problem and an attached dxdiag file. Please understand that we won’t provide a personalised support, but if it seems like a recurring problem impacting many players, we’ll definitely take a look at it.

How to generate a dxdiag file:
- In your windows start menu type dxdiag and launch it
- Click Yes if an information message appear (probably about signed drivers)
- Once in the main panel, click on “Save all information..."
- Save the file and attach it to your message
