I'm going at a right pace of knots around this house and miss the old spooky atsmosphere; a pop up says hitting CTRL and the plus and minus buttons is supposed to change the speeds but it doesn't seem to be doing much... Any advice?

I have the same issue, the game run too fast and hitting " 'CTRL' + '+' or 'CTRL' + ' - ' don't change speed.

I have the same issue - the game runs very fast and adjusting the speed with CTRL+ and CTRL- doesn't seem to do anything.

The videos seem to play fine and the sound also plays at the correct speed. The animations of the mouse cursor (the skeleton hand) and the movement between locations is just way too fast.

I've tried windowed and fullscreen mode; made not difference.
I've vsync on and off; made no difference.
I've tried limiting the frame rate (in both the ddraw.ini file and with the nVidia control panel); made no difference.

Anyone else have this problem or found a fix?
