I know this is jumping the gun a bit, but as someone who's playing through the games for the first time I was interested in hearing if Big Finish games had mentioned what their post-Tesla plans were. Obviously the sales of Tesla would affect any future sequels, but did they every say anything to the effect of "Tesla Effect will be the final Tex Murphy game" or are they just kind of waiting to see how the sales of Telsa go?
Hopefully. I'd settle for some HD re-mastered goodness of the previous games as well.

they hope to do another game but it all depends on the sales
One of the biggest issues was that they didn't have the rights for Tex Murphy. Now that the developers have got those back from Microsoft (who got the rights when they bought Access Software and didn't want to do anything with the license), I'm certain that they wish to continue the Tex Murphy saga if it's financially possible.
According to the designers, there was a trilogy of games being planned.
The success of their Kickstarter campaign, paired with their desire to deliver the best gaming experience possible, to old and new fans alike, led to them produce a much larger initial game than their original pitch - incorporating parts one and two of their trilogy concept.

The success of Tesla will inevitably impact greatly upon the future of the series, but the producers have assured their audience that the game will be able to stand alone and there won't be an annoying cliffhanger, leaving fans floundering in limbo until the next possible instalment.
Two more days!

I certainly hope the series returns. I am curious though about them making the story only seven years after the last installment. Not to sound harsh, but it is very obvious that they have aged 16 years. If they do another one they should just ahead 10 years instead of pretending to be younger than they really are, but hey they were making Columbo movies when Peter Falk was in his 70s so Tex can stay in action for a few more decades :) I hope he does.

Well most US high school TV series had actors that were in their 30's.

Having said that I did notice a LOT of very obvious wrinkles - the disadvantage of higher definition videos I guess. :)

As for a sequel, I don't know if it's my imagination but I'm pretty sure there's another mystery that's hinted at (and started to be explained on one of the paths), so they already have an opening.

They stated before that if the game sells well they will make a sequel, they don't intend to go to Kickstarter again.
I would like to see a remake of Martian Memerandum in Overseer style. Hopefully it won't end with a 16-year cliffhanger.

I think this has been pretty well answered, but if the sales are good I think their intent is to put out another game. I watched the premier broadcast from BFG studios and this question came up. The creators hinted very strongly (in my subjective opinion) that another game could be made assuming TE bodes well on its own merit.

I really hope Tesla Effect sales are good. I don't want to wait another decade for the sequel. Tex Murphy Adventure: Dance Instructor would make a good DLC (jk)

Or a Golf sim.. oh wait a sec!
I just finished the game and thoroughly enjoyed it. I got a very definite impression at the end that there would be a sequel and I sure hope so. Each game is a standalone and it is a great series. Well done.

They said that there is still some story not told since they planned a trilogy and have only told 2/3 of it. Spread the word and buy another game ;) only sales can reassure another Tex game :)
