mommaopps: Thank you for the saves. Sorry about not giving you the path I choose, was so long ago that installed it that I had forgotten that there were "paths" and mistakenly thought you meant mode casual or gamer. After searching back through my notes I see the path I choose was a Chelsee ending, probably "Somewhere I'll Find You" or more unlikely "To Have and Have Not". I have played "True to Chelsee" in the game. One of the saves you sent being for Taylor ending and another save for an Ariel ending, wouldn't match. However the saved game ( 2014-05-10_laser2sav) does not give me a hint as to what ending path it was on. I will use it just it case it is
one of the Chelsee endings.
Hopefully you have enjoyed playing all of Tex Murphy games. I have had the previous 5 games in boxes since beginning in the DOS age, then played via DosBox then Overseer with Win95. Now have all 6 Tex Murphy's in GOG downloads, sure was glad that became available. Looking forward to "Fedora" if old folks like Chris Jones and I live to see it happen..ha ha
Thank You again
plumgas: the laser2 is the petrified forest, thats the path I suggest you do not use, that contains the saphire ending. Most people have stated when they travelled down that path first they were very dissappointed. lol save it for last.
sorry I don't have the laser save for the - somewhere I'll find you (chelsee)
it s easy to keep on the right path...at the resort keeping true to chelsee keeps you on that path and also the first conversation with Louie make sure you ask about chelsee. at the resort choose taylor or ariel to stop the chelsee path.
Thanks for the information. I also have read nothing but bad reviews for the Petrified Forest path. I will go back to the point at the resort before made choice of Chelsee and choose Ariel or Taylor, then can restart playing again from that point up to lasers and insert the proper saved game needed. So glad you replied so fast, as I had played quite a way after the laser bypass while using the Petrified Forest saved game.
