Has anyone had success lately to get the gog version of terraria to work with mods?

After trying to install the mod n terraria, I learned that it only works with the steam version. One reason for this is, that the creator of the mod - one Nakano15 - is of the opinion, that he is not allowed to make his mod compatible with the gog version:

This seems very strange to me!

"Not allowed" or "Can't be bothered to format it to work without the workshop"? Because GOG doesn't have a policy regarding mods.

No Steam Workshop for Terraria, it's more likely a case of "I check to see if it's the Steam version so it won't work for pirates!", which was quite common for Terraria mods prior to the release of the GOG/DRM-free version.

Laziness then, with a side order of spite!

Yes, terraria mods should be ashamed for NOT supporting the GoG version!

DRM free software should not be made equal to piracy
