Just wondering how (or if) it is possible to 'save when far away from spawn' (New PLayer, heh)...

I looked this up, but all I get are 'Save File, Save Location, Save Games, etc etc.' - nothing about HOW TO save the game when you are 'far away'.
Save and Exit just returns you to Spawn.

Sorry to mention Minecraft (lol) but in that game, there was a Bed you could craft, and when you Slept in that Bed, you would 'spawn' from that point on. Great for when you are really far away and want to Save/Exit.

Does anything similar exist in Terraria?

Terraria has beds as well and they also allow you to respawn from them. The default crafting recipe is 15 wood and 5 silk, but you can also find some in abandoned "houses" underground and in the dungeon.

Edit: Note that to use a bed you have to put it in a player built house.

Thanks a lot - that answers everything!

I'll have to look up Silk (still learning, heh) but thanks again, esp. for the little Tip at the end :) Take care
