Alright, just submitted a ticket to GoG about this but I figured if I haven't asked you guys I haven't done everything I can.

Lv 6 paladin got hit by a web spell, he remains "webbed!" outside of combat, with the negative to his dexterity.

When he reenters combat, he is immobile, and unable to shake off the effect. (IE by breaking out, dispel magic, the wizard ending her spells early) by any means I can find. He can make attacks, and otherwise acts as normally only like he was effected by the 2nd level wizard spell, web.

I was able to get him functioning again by putting Lareths Ring of Freedom of Movement which removed any effects the webbing status had on my paladin. (it still says webbed when he enters combat though)

Now my rogue who had the ring can only move at 5ft/r. Regardless if he runs, withdraws, or actually performs a 5-foot step. He can only ever move at 5 feet per round, double move available.

Anyone have suggestions? My patchwork job of fixing the first bug made me aware of a second, almost as irritating bug.

Did one of your characters cast the Web spell or the cpu? I'm pretty sure there a possible bug, even with the Co8 patch, which crops up when a pc casts web. I have no solution other than revert to an earlier save and save before a battle if you plan on using it. Hopefully someone else will be able to offer you more useful advice.

It was my own wizard PC who cast the spell. Whats irksome is that when I found a temporary resolution it made the rogue useless. Gah, wish they would fix it... I guess I need to sub out that paladin for a new one. Tarnation... Thanks though.

Same thing happened to me with my lead tank (Dwarven Fighter). I put a ring of free action on him and that solved the movement problem. His Dex was relatively useless anyway since he was wearing plate. Sorry that's not a solution, but 'feeling your pain' is important too!
Well, I've restarted the game. At this time I Am installing Co8 Mod Pack and hoping for the best. Its a little sad, because I was so far along, had some nice gear and a feel for the characters. However, that extra content looks DELICIOUS OMNOMNOM and fewer bugs will be a godsend. I really hope they fixed that web bug...

Make sure you disable the autosaves and don't quicksave...it can screw your game up. If you have never used the Co8 mod before, enjoy! They have crafted some awesome content for ToEE.
It happened to me too. I am playing with the Co8 mod and my own wizard casted the web spell. Now several characters are permanently webbed with the mulus to Dexterity.
