Finally giving this game a chance after attempting the buggy non-modded version years ago. Thank you for your work compiling all the resources and steps!
So i followed all the steps and all seems good as you explained .....

MY only issue is setting the resolution in the Temple+ config, it isn't correct when the game launches. it's REALLY small font and not want i set it to.

In the video options of the game there is only 1 resolution listed
Primary Adapter
1280x1024x32

How can i change this? the font is way to small to read

The ingame setting will have no effect when Temple+ is used.

I'm not sure I understand your other complaint - are you sure the resolution isn't affected? Or are you just complaining about the font size when using a high resolution?
I'm trying to do this without installing Java. I extracted all the files for Co8 using 7z then ran the latest Temple+ install and picked my options.

Is that all there is? Co8 never has to be activated when simply playing the main game?
Maybe something changed since this guide was written because it did not create desktop shortcuts for TemplePlus Config and TemplePlus.
After I installed Temple+ it opened the config, I set the setting, clicked "ok" and then I closed it instead of clicking "launch" thinking I will run the game via the TemplePlus.exe that was suppost to be created in the desktop.

What do I do now in order to run this properly and also make sure it saved my settings?

Edit: I use the config and launcher found at "...\AppData\Local\TemplePlus\app-1.0.75" and it seems to work fine for now. I recommend playing at 1280x720 (720p) resolution for the text size to be reasonable (trying to enlarge the text in 1080p doesn't fit well and is less readable).

Anyone managed to launch the game with CO8 and T+ through the GoG launcher? I tried changing the shortcuts, but then the game is not launching at all. I'd prefer to have my time counted by GoG while I'm playing.
Bout Java. Make sure download the offline installer, then turn internet off on your pc, install java, install all the mods, make sure you install COT8 correctly, so run it once. Not only the setup. It will open a 'frontend' and there you install stuff. Then just delete Java from your pc. Run Temple.exe from the lastest mod.

Have fun gaming
CO8 freezez every time the game loads up. I wish I could get this to work!

The mod installation process requires Java on your system. You can check if Java is on your system in the Add/Remove programs, if it is not get it and install it.

Can I uninstall Java after installing of co8 and temple+?
I'm running Co8 and Temple+ just fine, thanks for all the hard work!

I have a question regarding the Identify spell. Normally you use the spell because you don't want to pay 100GP per item identified. However, when casting the spell in a Temple+ game, the 100GP cost is still removed from my party! Is there something I can do to fix this myself or do I have to wait for a Temple+ update?

I'd also like to make a request that there be a chance that a Lore check could be used to identify items, if that's at all possible and not being done already.
Just a note: Temple+ is incompatible with the PRIO task manager app for Windows 7+. Temple+ will throw a warning on startup (PRIO moves DLLs to a different start address), and just as it warns, you risk random crashes trying to play this way. Have to uninstall PRIO to use Temple+.
Thank you for this useful & entertaining guide. Worked like a charm. As an addition, Temple+ now allows for a flexible PC/NPC ratio which I strongly suggest enabling.

I would love to know if a portable version of java would work. Win 10 makes Java a big problem with the updates they did. A big security deal.
Thank you sir :) I am old and suck at installing mods, though they do seem to be easier these days then they used to.
My Temple+ icons did not show up on the desktop either.
