Hey, is it possible to download save games for ToEE? I've been thinking about giving the game another shot but the thought of endlessly running around that first town to complete those boring fetch quests is stopping me.

I was wondering if anyone has a save game (Co8 or not) with those early quests finished and a full party ready to venture into battle. I don't really care what the makeup of the party (class and race) is.

If anyone has something like that (if it's possible), I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

I have no idea, but making your own characters is most of the fun for me.

I'm hoping since that engine file or whatever has been found in the polish translation patch that a mod will come out allowing you to start after all the fetch quests (with the exp, as if you had done them).

I hope that happens.

I'm sure what you are looking for could be found in a google search. I can't imagine people haven't already thought of and done this. For me though - I want to create my own characters ;)

Thanks for the reply. I actually did try google, admittedly briefly, but I didn't see anything. I like making my own characters too but I just want to get past that boring early game stuff. Really, any type of mod that starts you off with exp as though you had done the fetch quests would do the trick too.

However, before doing so, you should read the disclaimer at the start of section 1.23 in Gazra's Walkthrough that explains you can corrupt your game file if you don't know what you are doing.

Personally, I just follow the guide over at Gamebansee to do the quests I want to complete, and skip all the others. The Cupid's Arrow quest is long, but you get a Holy magic sword as a reward. Also the Turjon quests will give you a rebate on healing services. Know when to fold quests gets you free lodgings, etc. If you have the Co8 modpack installed, you can click on the signpost near the Welcome Wench, and it will teleport you to any location in town. Use the world map to teleport yourself back to the Welcome Wench (ie. South Hommlett).

Another way is just to hire Elmo, Furnok and Spugnoir to babysit your party through the Moathouse. Just don't open any chests, and they won't loot anything to get their "share".

A third way, if you are using the Co8 Modpack, is to do the Welkwod Bog quest (talk to the Blacksmith in Homlett and ask him about "something different". This is a small quest area designed to level up a 5-man party to lvl2.
