I open a chest, kill a rat, then go down a ladder that takes me to an area where every direction has enormously powerful enemies that kill me. With no more tutorial dialogue upon exiting the hole It's a novel approach to learning curves I suppose.

I'm assuming the tutorial is just supposed to be ignored if you have Co8 installed?

Are you talking about one of the opening pre-arrival-in-Homlett vignettes? What alignment is your party? Or did you somehow go straight to the Moathouse?

If you are talking about the tutorial that can be accessed from the main menu, it is actually disabled in the version of Co8 that I tried. Perhaps you loaded a tutorial save after installing the mod? It's likely that Co8 overwrote part of the tutorial with new areas, breaking it entirely.
The tutorial was restored, but the ladder icon points to the wrong location (bug/oversight).

I just ran into this myself. I'm temporarily deactivating Co8, hopefully the tutorial will finish correctly now.

edit: Yup, that worked.

Very good job--I'd say your mod and the Co8 8.1 mod are the best of the best for the game! Not much to the tutorial, really--it's entirely optional--but if someone is completely new to the game it might help for a few basic playing concepts.

So thanks again for your work with the mod--there is something about this game that makes it a standout in many ways--but I wouldn't dream of playing without both of these mods. My native res is 4k, but I set up a full-screen 16:9 resolution of 1664x936, as ideal for me in the game. PCs & NPCs are large enough for my tastes and yet I still get to view enough of the neighborhood when playing!

I added another screen shot--final!--no more;)--to our previous dialogue in the other thread about the now non-existent scaling problem I was having with Temple+Config...;) The scaling should rectify to what the application requires if that particular option in the Temp+config properties box is set. Thinking a bit about this, again, I'll bet that it's a minor bug in this v1903 18362.1 build of Win10x64 (hopefully released to the public officially next week as the Spring Update--hopefully...;))

I'm just really sort of in awe of what you've done to improve the play-ability of this game--which is why I run my mouth about it so much, I guess...;) I bought the game when it originally shipped and was fairly disappointed with it as was most everyone else. Troika had some really fantastic talent--it's just so bad that they got pushed to premature releases on much of their really nice, really original games! In terms of art, music, direction--this game is one of the very best I've ever seen-played! Thank you for working to make it relevant to everyone today!
