I went to fix a few old 'addons' that were having problems ... and found the game refuses to load them.

The old te4.org wiki stated that teaa files were un-compressed zip files.
The current way is you have to load them up to Steam Workshop first.

( The teaa file is using a modified header on the zip file as a signature. )

Don't have the Steam version, so no modding / addons for me.
Weird, so This doesn't work?

Your problem is two things:

1. Don't ever use the Wiki outside of stuff that never got an update like backup guardians. It's very old and outdated. Use your own experiences, questions and answers from the chat, and Tometips: https://tometips.github.io/

2. You're using steam workshop mods for some reason? The exact same addons for the most part are on the main site. There is no reason why you shouldn't be registered over there (even though you don't need a registration anywhere to get addons from the main site, I do highly recommend registering your stuff from the serial keys found here on GOG), so here it is: https://te4.org/addons/tome
