i downloaded it fine but when i press the lay button nothing happens, no loading or crashing, the game just won't start

Select system shock in your games list click more select manage installation then show in folder you can run the game by using the exe file in there

It only runs on 64 Bit and I had forgotten that. The .exe gave the Bit error and stopped the heartache!

What now? A new PC?
