Sorry if this has been posted before, I can't seem to search the forums.

Enhanced Edition is running just fine, but Classic Edition is running at a terribly low framerate and the audio is all choppy. Any fixes or am I alone on this one?


[edit] solution: Ctrl+F12 in game to bump up the simulated clock speed. Probably don't want to do that too many times, though. Only took a couple for me.

Classc Edition is perfectly playable, at least to the level shown in the awesome developer walthrough

Sometimes the config of DOSBOX will affect your overall experience can you share those settings and the specs of the system having the problem?

I think I've got it. DOS Box will simulate a CPU speed, but you can adjust that downward (while playing) with Ctrl+F11 or upward with Ctrl+F12. I just had to bump it up a couple times and it ran smoothly. I've got a 970 and an i5-6600K, so performance shouldn't be any issue.

Seems to be fine now.

Well that's shocking! I ran SShock Classic with a i5 2500k and GTX 550ti and never felt it fall bellow 60fps... now I realize I used mostly the EE. Per info I found on PC gaming wiki Classic should stick to 60 FPS and Enhanced is able to go up 120 FPS.
