I'm at the point where I need the SCI and/or ENG Access cards to be able to continue, however I can't find them.

According to the walkthrough (there's a number of them on-line but they all seem to be based on the one by Mitch Aigner) the cards should be located at certain spots on level 2 (on a body just on the other side of the teleporter, and near a cyberspace terminal) but in my game they are not there.

I replayed from the beginning just in case I had a bugged save game but still no sign of these Access cards.

Can anyone help?
occasionally i've found that using grenades near bodies sometimes destroys the items it contains instead of dropping them on floor , maybe this is what happened for you?

Edit: well i started a new game and found both cards where they are supposed to be at least for me . i was playing the enhanced edition not classic. on windows 8 version

Thanks for taking the time to check the game and for your comments. At least now I'm pretty sure that for whatever reason these items aren't showing up in my copy of the game. Oh well, but at least there's the remake to look forward to :)

I doubt it is in your copy - if you installed it from GOG.com (and even if you didn't). I just think some items may be difficult to spot.
SCI access card can be found in Cyberspace and on a dead cyborg (EDIT: You need to kill it first) near the cyberspace terminal.

You will need group-4 access card or use the teleporter to get the ENG access card. If you use the teleporter, there's actually a secret door you will need to pass, which will require SCI access, too.

Also, you can not get group-4 access without SCI access, so that is the first access card to get in any case. I'm not going to spoil where group-4 access is. Look in the walktrough =)

(EDIT: I just checked and group-4 is the alternative, not group-3, to get to ENG card - but again, you need SCI to get group-4!
See this walktrough if you ever get stuck again

Yup I'd blown up the Cyborg that had the SCI card, both times! Anyhow I have it so now I'll be able to open the secret door to get the ENG card. Thanks everyone for the suggestions!
