No, in fact I feel the opposite. I'm happy to buy at this price point on day 1, and not have to wait for a sale. But also like that they aren't using the hype to increase the base price and just do a 'for the next 24 hours' sale to get it down to 10 bucks.

I'm fairly certain the negotiations with that insurance company would have gone pretty much downhill if the price would have been chosen as low as 6$.

I think it's fair considering all the man hours that GOG spent on aquiring the licence. Gaining it in the end may have been luck but they tried for four years before that.

So what then? 10$ may be on the higher side of what GoG usually prices, but I hardly think that's unreasonable, or that people thinking 10$ is reasonable has something to do with a 'mob-mentality'

Excellent point, however I expect the price for a boxed copy will go down because of this release.


edit:
I would like to add that if $10 is too much in your opinion then wait for it to go on sale. I have purchased several games on this site that I did not think were worth full price when they were put on sale.

It's one of the best games of all time, and people have worked very hard to be able to sell it. It's worth the price of a small pizza.
