So I installed all the mods posted in the first link and I just started a game and found that I was started out with a grenade launcher! I don't think that's right. Have I done something wrong? Is it because I installed the weapon skin mods or something else perhaps?
Downloaded the ss2tool but now cant download the mods. Seems you have to register on the site to access them. Maybe something to do with us all downloading from there ?
a marine that selects the heavy skill will start out with a grenade launcher. this is perfectly normal. psi guy starts with psi amp, for example.

MonochromeWench: If I don't put the mods in the supplied DataPermanentMods they don't work for me. It I make a DataPermMods and put mods in that they don't work. *shrugs*
will have a look at this when I get back, but the general rule should be "if I repatched with ss2tool, I should use DataPermMods".

yeah, the site is under heavy load. no surprise. try waiting a bit. registration is not necessary.

Thanks, time to go shopping with the wife then !
Any where else to download these mods? All the mods are linked to a systemshock fansite and it appears to have been closed to members only with registry for membership taken away aswell. Abit unfortunate for those of us that are new to the game.
I've been downloading all the mods off systemshock .org without any problems whatsoever, granted it's slow from time-to-time, but I didn't need to register.
Well Congratulations GoG Community... you have flooded the System Shock Mod, Resource, & Fan-pages with traffic to the breaking point. Are ALL now Overloaded forcing them to shunt/deny Traffic & or not load at all.

All in all I'd consider this a good thing :)

"Sorry guests, this is just a small fansite and it isn't made for these numbers of downloaders. Please come back later."

Looks like they're under too much of a heavy load. I imagine someone will get them linked here and/or uploaded somewhere else eventually.
Would anyone be able to reupload the essential mods to something like Mega? Only got a few hours before work and wanted to have a blast about :D

Oh, well... Poor systemshock. org, but I guess this is actually awesome news for GOG and Night Dive!

Thanks alot dude, very much appreciated
Hey OP I have a mod Suggestion to Add. There are High Resolution (480x640) Cutscenes you can replace the low res (320x240) versions featured in this release. They look MUUUUCH better. I have tested them and they work. All you have to do is replace the corresponding files in your "Cutscenes" folder. For me is "C:\GOG Games\System Shock 2\Data\cutscenes"

Here's where to get them FYI You need to be a forum Member to Download them.

http://modsreloaded.com/hi-res-cutscenes
those are just upscaled versions of the originals - no benefit in using them, actually.

one exists in a true hires version though, see here: http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=112595
