i wouldn't lie; i wanted refund because i lost trust in them solving the issues, but it did not crash during 10 minutes of gameplay (which to me doesn't equal to "we solved the bug") after latest unofficial patch finally, so..

all in all - after ridiculous tedious corporational robotish funny talk with support i just had, i finally managed to get the refund

i hope you GOG's fanboys enjoy paying & doing alpha/betatesters for free at the same time!

svatem1: Hello,
Our product team is of course aware of the issue now, but it didn't occur while they tested it.

Fenixp: Well, according to the FAQ, if you now respond that the game doesn't work and you request a refund, you should get it - that is unless GOG pushes the patch fixing this issue, in which case the game's going to work and you won't be eligible to get a refund anymore.

So you got the game working (and couldn't even be bothered to play it for more than 10 minutes), and got your refund. Bet you've still got the game installed, too.

Also, you do realise that GOG are not game developers? They get provided the game which they load into their installer. They test on their own set of machines and then release it provides it passes on them. As the game didn't affect everybody, and didn't crop up during Night Dive's own testing, it is reasonable for it not to have shown up on GOG's test machines. So yes, the responses you had from GOG do make sense, the issue didn't show up when tested by GOG's product team, and they did become aware of the issue after release of the game (via Support Request and this forum, no doubt).

Hardly comical, like you seem to think. And GOG dealt with your issue with a turnaround of 1 week, which is how long the game has been available for, and you got your refund. That's a perfectly decent support service.

But of course, if you don't like GOG then just remember that nobody is forcing you to be here.
