I have been saving my game often, but have be overriding a single save most recently. Now, when I try and load that save, the game immediately reverts back to the main menu. I'm more than half way through the game and my most recent save after that is probably about 25% through the game so I'd really like to continue my most current save

Edit: So I've determined the problem is that I accidentally saved while at 0 HP. So the save loads but then immediately returns to the menu because I do not have a QBR activated. So what I need is a way to edit my save file to give me some HP so I can continue playing.

How old is your latest auto save? If it isn't too old, you could use that to continue.

You could try the 'undead' code in a configuration file.

I don't know whether the game will take notice with your already existing save, though, and whether it'll bypass the check for whether you have health left.

My Auto-save has the same problem. Not sure how it happened but I did die near an elevator so my guess it when I loaded the dead save it triggered the auto-save as well.


I might try the god mode thing when I get home. Hopefully I can use it to keep me alive and then heal and turn it off?

I have the same problem (loading the save just takes me back to the main menu) and I tried this but it doesn't work.

the only way how to fix this is load an older save that is not broken yet. as mentioned in the FAQ, you should save often, and into different slots, as the saves sometimes get messed up (unknown reason, unfortunately).

undead cheat will permanently modify your game, if memory serves, so it's not really an option.
