Hiya all- Long time lurker & game owner but shy as a poster.

I remember buying System Shock as it came out back in the day! :)
Being an early adopter I only got the Diskette version but man, what a blast!
Controls though... I've since become a proficient pianist! :P

Now... Bought the Enhanched Version and playing it- it just... lacks music?
Realize I should probably go and install the Legacy version for a proper test but felt like reaching out to the community anyway.

So, is this a thing (the missing music)? Is this the reason the Enhanched version is a lot smaller ( roughly 380MB vs 180MB)?

Thanks in advance or your patience and sorry for my english, not a native speaker!
Hey there, I am currently playing the enhanced version as well (german version) and I do have the midi music in game. There is a sound setting where you can disable the music - But I guess you have checked that already :)

Also please check the game directory if there is a "sound" directory inside the "res" directory and if there are files in it. My version is roughly 300MB large.

@Hyperbolix

Hey! Thanks for the answer!
Yes, I did check the sounds settings, it was worth asking- you never know! ;)
I'll check that "Sound" directory for sure, thanks.

Also I can tell with a good margin you're above 30 years of age. Why? 'Cause you used the word "Directory".
Kids nowadays use "Folder".

I'm from 1978 so I know "DOS". :)

Sorry for the Off Topic,
thank you again.
