voodoo47: a random glitch. they just seem to happen sometimes (they did from the moment the game has been released all those years ago. NewDark mostly cured them, but some players just seem to get "lucky"). usually, the only thing that helps is loading an older save that is not bugged out yet.

if you still have such a save, that is.

JDubyew: I have one from the beginning of the level, so that might work. Thanks for the help anyway. Is there anything known to at least minimize the chance of said bugs occurring?
Follow the old RPG maxim: Save early, save often, and in different slots :D.
