I've been wanting to play 2 player coop with a friend and we are about to play during the weekend. I was wondering if the game continues to crash consistently whenever you reach a loading area and if you need to continue saving often. I'm thinking of using Hamachi for connecting, downloading the GOG version and updating it using SS2Tool to the lastest version of NewDark. Any feedback regarding this is greatly appreciated.

yes, multiplayer is still problematic, however, two player multiplayer should be completable. just make many saves, so you will have something to fall back to when you start to have problems.
