I was too stupid to have not bought it last month on sale, so I was just going to pick it up this morning anyways and poof, it's gone!

I didn't see any news or mention of it.

I'd only heard from other people on social media. I've also heard that licensing is being renegotiated with EA so they will probably be back at some point.

Great news: Syndicate and Ultima Underworld are back and even for free at the moment. Go to the GoG start page and grab them!
