Really. I know its been said. But the awesomeness of this game cannot and has yet to be duplicated. Yeah its old, but man, is it good.

Any chances of seeing Syndicate Wars?
Yes please.
Bring on the SynWars!
For as much as people raved about this game, I was thoroughly underwhelmed and went back to X-Com before too long. To me, it feels like an isometric action game pretending to be an RTS.

This game is over 6 years older than I am, but I still love it. The flamer is OP though.

Flamer maybe be OP, but it does incinerate any gear they were carrying (can't sell it back for cash).

Not that you really need to, money is easy enough to come by. After conquering Europe and half of Asia I had all the research finished and outfitted four agents with V3 bionics and four miniguns, two gauss guns, a long-range rifle and a persuadertron each.
I agree. I didn't expect to like it much, and I thought I'd just try it out and then move onto something else, satisfied with my $3 spent finding out what the game was like.

But from the first minute of gameplay, I had that feeling that I was playing something special. I'm 9 missions in now and loving it. I was having real trouble beating a 9th mission (I had three available), but then I gave two of my guys miniguns and kicked some pretty serious ass.

The pathfinding A.I. can piss me off on occasion though.
I believe the Pathfinding AI is one of the things designed to drive you crazy. And, I think Westwood actually copied theirs from Bullfrog. Ever done Command and Conquer? "I'm a harvester and I am looking for a way back into mybase. Oh, hey, there is a LOT of commotion at the enemy base, let's find out what they do and bring some back!"

Yeah.. loving that. However, luckily the same errors apply to the enemy agents. I had a ton of agents run at mo more than once in a straight line. Perfect for "laser tag".

Certain missions were literally one-shots =)
I cannot believe I bought this and forgot about it. I think I'm gonna start playing now...
