May not be the right place to ask this question, but is there any word on whether Syndicate Wars is coming to GOG? I would dearly love to see a version of this properly tweaked to work on modern machines... superior to the original IMHO.
Played through Syndicate this weekend.
I would love to revisit the American Revolt expansion and Syndicate Wars sequel if they are made available on GOG.
I wouldn't mind seeing Syndicate Wars on GoG (more people need to discover this amazing game), but there is no reason you shouldn't be able to play the original disc version on a fairly fast modern machine via DosBox.

GoG would just sell you the exact same version but preconfigured for DosBox and with their own installer and DosBox attached.

I play Syndicate Wars in "high resolution mode" (640x480 baby!) on an i7 920 Windows7 x64 system and it works (almost) perfect, the game only slows down for a few seconds when buildings collapse and the menu animations are a bit too fast but those a very minor issues and I'm pretty sure they would also be present in the GoG version.

Have a look at the site below if you want to give Syndicate Wars a try, if you encounter any issues I'm sure we could help you further.

I would also like syndicate wars through GOG, primarily for the convenience of it.
You could also try this port if you want to use it natively in Windows, UNIX, Linux or Mac OS X.

I came here to ask if the rest were coming to gog. I have the original cd that has both OG and Revolt. Would love to have all three digitally on gog.
i really want syndicate wars as well, that and spacehulk votba are missing from my life :(
i want it too!!!
I can't wait for Syndicate Wars on GoG! This year is also the 30th Anniversary of Blade Runner so it would be so appropriate to release Syndicate Wars sometime soon! Please please GoG!
I hate to be the party pooper, but Syndicate appearing on GOG was pretty much unplanned, I think it just came because EA wanted to release it to promote the FPS "wrrreeee-make" (sarcasm). BUT if GOG can get to releasing System Shock at the speed of a glacier, they certainly can with SynWars, too.
I can't tell if we will release anything, but don't forget to vote on wishlist, here!

Are you new ... ish? :)
I am having trouble running a copy of Syndicate Wars on DosBox, if I run it with default config, it's too fast, when I run it with the custom config from the site linked earlier it's too slow unless I increase the cycles tremendously.

Is there anything I can do to get it to run well?

I have Syndicate Wars running quite well in DOSBox 0.74. My CPU is a dual core @ 3.16GHz. Here are some of my conf settings:

fullscreen=false
windowresolution=960*720
output=overlay

machine=svga_s3
memsize=16

frameskip=0
scaler=normal2x

core=dynamic
cputype=auto
cycles=120000
cycleup=5000
cycledown=5000

You may need to alter the cycles number to fit your particular PC, but try that first and use the cycles up and down keys to see if you can find the sweet spot.

One note, however. The menu animations are too fast, but not unusable. This is fine as it is the in-game speed that matters.

Thanks, I tried those settings and it works really well. I don't mind the fast menu settings, like you said it is still manageable!
