And if I'm not mistaken, these updates have still not reached the GOG version of the game... When can we expect them?

I've no idea when we'll get them, GOG isn't known for it's quick patch release. Then again some companies don't even bother patching the GOG versions.

Thats why it would be nice to have at least acknowledgement from GoG that they recieved the updates.
There has been another update today, with quite a bit of UI fixes.

I know that GoG takes some time with updates, but i remember that often it was only a day late. Now we have the game released already a full week and 3 updates, one fixing serious graphical errors on mac and not even a word from GoG.
I really hope we don't get a repeat of the "The long dark"-update desaster.

The whole delayed/missing patch issue is poor of GOG, it's something that should really be worked on.
I was excited to see this game appear on GOG, but now I'm regretting buying it. The issue of Mods is disappointing, but understandable: steam is a much more popular platform, and most modders seem to prefer just uploading to steam, which isn't something GOG can control. However, the issue of delayed patching boggles my mind. How can GOG expect consumers not to run back to steam if they aren't offering the same level of service? This may be the last game I buy from GOG, and certainly the last Paradox game I buy from GOG (because of their very frequent patching), unless GOG implements an immediate patching system, just like steam.

I agree completely. Maybe GOG will update once the patches have fixed more of the bugs? Maybe GOG doesn't consider the current changeset significant enough to bother?
this whole latency is quite disappointing, i was so excited when i read the patch notes on reddit...
Is the current situation a basis for refunds?
I dont like steam, but games without patch i dont like even more.

I saw someone mention in the Surviving Mars FB group that they received a refund on this basis.

look here

they working like charm

and for patching : GoG can only patch if they have them
Spellforce 3 for example
the dev delivered the patches for steam and GoG at same time - and they was out there at same time

Reading this thread isn't filling me with much confidence around the lack of a patch/update for the game. I have Battletech pre-ordered too, but if it's also going in the same direction where Paradox/Game Dev isn't providing the patches to GoG than I hesistate to not only keep Surviving Mars, but my pre-order. I enjoy the game and like supporting CDPR for what they do with this service, but Surviving Mars clearly needs improvement through the released patches they'll be doing. Not sure if I should wait or request refund around the no patch issue. I don't see a way to manually patch at this point either. Mods missing isn't a big deal for me, but I understand that for users it's critical so I empathize that people will want or a refund as well.

Unless stated elsewhere we have to assume that the Devs have sent GOG the patch files.
I've also got Battletech on pre-order and expect the same delays in patching.

Um, GOG has a immediate patching system via Galaxy. If the devs have not uploaded the patches to Galaxy then there is nothing GOG can do about it. Offline installers will always lag behind though because GOG has manually prepare them, but they can only do that after devs submit the patches to Galaxy and / or GOG.

Here is the dev portal where devs can upload patches: https://devportal.gog.com/welcome

Some devs still don't use it though and send patches the old way to GOG... which is slow and takes a lot longer because GOG has to get them ready.

Yeah. I preordered battletech as well. I will be requesting a refund for both. This is probably the last time I buy new games on GoG...
