With the actual promo, I'm thinking of eventually taking Sunless Sea... But the expansion seems very interesting to include, even in the first run (according to one particular review : "If you don’t have Sunless Sea yet but want to buy it, then get Zubmariner at the same time as it gives you more content to explore and alleviates some of the problems the base game has with grinding. ").
I'll definitely buy the whole one day, even if it's not now. Everything I saw and read about the game and the expansion seems great, even if I'm a little afraid of the English level and the pace of the game (and difficulty ?).

What do you think and advice ?

I've been playing SS since the time it came out, and got the Zubmariner when that came out.

I would get both at once since no matter how you play, you'll eventually wish there was more to it - and with Zubmariner there are a bunch of extra stories.

As for if Zubmariner alleviates grinding - it's possible, since it does provide more locations to visit within the same map area. That is, it effectively increases the number of ports you can visit (once you're submarine-capable). There is also extra stuff to explore under the surface in addition to the ports. At the least this means it should be easier to level up since you'll be getting fragments (and therefore secrets) faster.

There is a small quest of sorts to undertake before you can become submersible, but it's not that long or difficult.

The only thing to watch out for is that the stuff under the Unterzee is often more dangerous than the surface stuff - but you can get out of a difficult encounter by just punching the surface button (I assume it works in reverse too - when on the surface, quickly dive to avoid the surface enemy).

Okay ! Thank you very much for sharing your opinion and experience, it helps me a lot :)
I'll buy both, even if I still don't know if it'll be now :P
Thanks again ;)

No problem!

When you do get it, feel free to check/ask in these forums if/when you get stuck or need help with something - there are already a bunch of good tips to cut down on grinding (but they don't yet account for the Zubmariner stuff).

I bought it, even if I'm not sure I'll play it immediately (I'm already playing a little Fallen London and some other games :P). Do you know some good threads for beginners, but who doesn't... "spoil"/reveal too much things ? (=only tips/advices) (if you remember them, or else, I'll look myself ;))
If I have issues, I'll ask in the forum :)

I think there are one or two such threads in this same forum, but I'd recommend winging it for a bit before looking for info elsewhere: part of the fun is discovering the game and its mechanics by yourself... and dying horribly in the process ;)

Sounds good for me, I love Don't Starve, so I'm used to horrible and unexpected deaths :D
I'll take a look only if I'm seeing I've way too much trouble or if I really can't get the "mechanic" of the game :)

+1 to this.

Explore, and you'll likely find a lot yourself.

If you find yourself getting wiped out too much, there are definitely one or two good threads in this forum (but probably a bit spoilerish, hence the suggestion to find explore first. You'll probably need to explore yourself anyway to find a lot of the things these threads indicate).

Again, note that as of yet I haven't seen anything specific about anything under the Zee, as that adds a number of extra things to explore and ways to make money (I've only recently found some of them and have so far only progressed part of the plots - my PC crashed just before Zubmariner came out so I've had to restart from scratch as well).
