Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to share my experience with the multiplayer for Windows 7. I wasn't able to get the lan multiplayer for Stronghold Crusader to work. The host's computer is visible but attempting to join just hangs for 15 seconds and then returns to the previous screen. I tried playing around with compatibility mode and running as admin to no effect.

I was finally able to get it working using GameRanger It's free and you can get it from www.gameranger.com

Absolutely awesome program, detects that you have stronghold crusader installed and lan works flawlessly. Don't forget to unblock the firewall for stronghold crusader and for gameranger.

I was struggling with this last night and finally found that turning off UPnP on the router solves all my problems. Everything works.

Try that before jumping through more hoops :)

I can confirm that turning off UPnP on my router worked for me. The joining computer could not see the host with this turned on. Turned off it worked fine :)

why i can't play a multiplayer game using the GOG platform ?

Because GOG is a website and game library for buying and managing (good old) games.
It's not a multiplayer platform.

The fix is to remove the internet cable from the router/switch. Try making the server again. There is no need to use spyware software to play on LAN, plus it ads alot of latency that is not needed ...
