I love little shooters, quake, doom, and the like. Lack of a demo is minorly concerning to me, the price is ok-ish though I do appreciate the tongue-in-cheek humor of 1996....But I have all the quakes and dooms x.x

My concerns are, will they support the GoG release, or let it die like Armello did? Also for a shooter it seems like I'd like it, but I'd like some 2nd opinions on the matter....I do love mindless shooting though, good 'ol 90's games :D

In my opinion it's a really good game but it isn't really in the style of the 1990s games you mentioned. It has a slight RPG style to it in the form of pickups that are basically stat upgrades and its "secrets" aren't like the secrets in Duke Nukem 3D, the secrets in this game literally boil down to "Find the small thing on the wall, shoot it, find the room it opens, get stuff". Considering there is already a patch out on Steam for STRAFE I'm also concerned about the level of support this game will get. Overall, if you want a hybrid of a sorta 90s shooter and a modern roguelike then this is a very good game, however if you want just a 90s shooter I feel like this will disappoint. Hope this helps

well I picked it up already haha!

I'm loving it so far, havent found any secrets though, been hitting "e" on every darn wall I can find...it's tough
